Guitar repair turnaround is currently 1-3 weeks for most repairs, including setups. Structural and finish repairs are likely to be longer.
We’re working hard to keep wait times as short as possible but quality is the top priority!

Ken did an amazing job on my Fender Vintera 60s Jaguar! Seriously, playability is vastly improved, and tonal quality is fantastic. Everything feels super comfortable, and overall intonation is more solid, even with the new strings. Feels like a different guitar!

Ken took on my basket case of a vintage les Paul special and ably performed some pretty detailed work – he added a headstock veneer (the old one had been removed long ago), refinished the neck, and cut a new nut. Great quality work and a stand up guy to work with. Highly recommend.

A few before and after shots of a repair/resto on a 1974 Gibson Heritage Custom acoustic. Pretty sizable crack and curling along the pickguard from the soundhole all the way to the bridge. 1997 Fender Stratocaster California Series electronic upgrades. New Orange Drop Caps, Treble Bleed Circuit, Vintage Cloth Wire, Copper-lined inner pickguard, and new 5-way Blender Wiring Scheme. Strat Blender Wiring is a unique way to achieve multiple Strat pickup configurations and tones without drilling holes for switches and push pull pots. It uses the second tone control as a Blender Pot. The blend knob will blend the Neck & Bridge pups together in positions 1 or 5, and allows all three pickups to be blended in different ways when in position 2, 3, or 4. When the blend knob is turned to 10 the blend is bypassed and the 5-way switch acts just like a standard circuit. Refret on a 1997 California Series Fender Strat today using Dunlop Medium Jumbo Hard Frets. Lots of deep pitting in original frets were beyond a recrown. Just finished up work on this special instrument, 1955 Teisco electric guitar. Needed some work for sure. Frets needed to be re-seated, leveled, crowned, and dressed. The neck angle was pretty off so I fabricated a custom carbon fiber neck pocket shim to get the neck back in alignment with the bridge. Also fixed a few structural cracks around the neck pocket at the back and sides. Nice truss upgrade to this Fender Stratocaster. The original neck had a recessed truss screw at the base of the neck which sat in the neck pocket, making adjusting the truss rod impossible to do unless you remove the strings and neck to do so. This upgrade required a bit of precision routing in order to install a new spoke wheel adjustment screw. But now truss adjustments are simple and quick with no need to waste strings and remove parts in order to adjust! #fender #trussrod #luthier #oklahomaluthier #oklahomamusic

Candy shell coating on this Tacoma acoustic guitar refinish. Tacoma.acoustics suffered from a flaw in their original factory finishes that resulted in the finishes separating from their base coat. For this project I removed the original coat and ridiculously thick and uneven sanding sealer, all the way back down to bare wood to begin again. Working on a pair of lovely Ovation acoustics today. The Custom Legend (white) just needed some basics, and a new peghead, but the Elite Special (natural) needed some extensive work. The guitar`s top had received some damage resulting in two 6" cracks along the grain that were further dented in by about 1/8". That amount of force also resulted in all of the internal bracing either coming loose or popping off entirely. It was a pretty extensive fix, the top needed to be set back flat and a few handmade pine cleats were installed on the backside to add strength to the split area. The bracing also needed to be completely re-set, glued, and clamped. Progress photos and before and after photos included. Everything looks fantastic so far and the guitar will be back in shape by the end of the week! #luthier #guitarrepair #oklahomaluthier #ovationguitars #oklahomamusicians #oklahomamusic
